Simone Haack
Die 1978 in Rotenburg/Wümme geborene Haack lebt und arbeitet heute in Berlin. Simone Haack's pictorial worlds are places of refuge. They appear as abstractions of worldliness and testify to the artist's desire to reach a level of clarity. Her works are images of the known unknown. Human perception is limited, and we know that there is much to be discovered that we are unable to grasp directly with our senses. Her visual language identifies her as a pioneer of an emerging New Magical Realism. In her painting, she symbolically reveals the fragility of the human being. At the same time, her works always tell of the tensions of physical and psychological existence. Always according to her credo: to work with the means of realism, but not to depict reality. |
